Data processed

Customer account: first name, last name, email address, chosen language, and if you provide them, phone number, postal address and, for a business account, company name, SIRET and VAT number (shown on your invoices).

Purchases and licenses: offer purchased, amount, payment dates and status, license key. Your card number is processed by Mollie, never by us.

Software activation: fingerprints of three hardware identifiers of the computer (motherboard and system disk, irreversibly transformed by the software and then again by our servers: never the identifiers themselves), whether it is a virtual machine, the computer name, the software version, the dates of activation and last check, and any drift of its clock. To prevent repeated trials, the fingerprints of computers that have used a trial are kept separately.

Contact form: name, email address, subject and message.

Reviews of the software, if you submit one: rating, title, text and month of use, published on the website with your first name and the initial of your last name (never your email address).

Support requests (Support tab of your customer area): subject, messages, attachments you send, and the history of how they were handled.

Newsletter: email address, language and subscription date.

Trial downloads: a simple daily counter, with no IP address or identifier.

Technical logs (sign-ins, forms, errors): with a short fingerprint of the IP address, never the address itself.

Audience measurement of public pages: device type, landing page, pages viewed, referrer and visit duration. No cookie is set and your IP address is never stored: the visit is identified by a hash of the IP address, the browser and the current date, which changes every night — no tracking from one day to the next, nor across sites.

Purposes and legal bases

Managing your account, your purchases, your licenses and their activation: performance of the contract.

Invoicing and accounting: legal obligation.

Replying to contact form messages: legitimate interest, or pre-contractual measures taken at your request.

Newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the link in each mailing or from your profile.

Publication of your review: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by withdrawing the review from your customer area.

Support requests: performance of the contract (warranty, help using the software).

Website security, prevention of abuse and of fraudulent use of licenses: legitimate interest.

Audience measurement of public pages, limited to knowing traffic levels: legitimate interest, under the consent-exempt regime (no cookie, no cross-referencing, no transfer to a third party).

Recipients and processors

Hosting: OVH SAS (France).

Payment: Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands).

Sending of the website’s emails: OVH (messagerie Zimbra).

Invoicing: invoices are issued by SDiTech using its own invoicing tool.

No data is sold or used for advertising purposes.

Retention periods

Account: until it is deleted, which you can request from your profile. An account request that is never activated is erased after 8 days.

Invoices and payments: 10 years (accounting obligation), even after the account is deleted; they are then detached from your account, and only the invoice details remain.

Licenses and activations: for the entire duration of the license; a license from a deleted account remains valid, detached from your identity.

Fingerprints of computers that have had a trial: 3 years. Log of seat activations and releases (prevention of license sharing): 1 year. Requests to authorize a new computer: 7 days.

Contact messages: 3 years at most after the last exchange.

Reviews: as long as you do not withdraw them; erased along with your account.

Support requests: 3 years after they are closed, then erased along with their attachments; also erased along with your account.

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Technical logs: 3 months at most. Audience measurement: 13 months. Backups: erased after 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to set guidelines regarding what happens to your data after your death. Your profile and account deletion are available in your customer area; for anything else, write to contact@facetlab.fr. We reply within one month.

Audience measurement: you can opt out without asking us anything, from the Cookies page (“Do not count my visits” button) or by enabling your browser’s “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal.

You can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
